Girls Weekend featuring the Best of Brisbane

Girls Weekend featuring the Best of Brisbane

Things to do in Brisbane, and Brisbane accommodation deals for your next vacation plus a five night holiday to win to anywhere in the world, this is probably one of the most exciting blog posts I have written this year!

If you have been following me on instagram you would know that recently I had the absolute pleasure of attending a fun filled girls weekend with seventeen other mums in Brisbane,  all with our hearts set on having one hell of a time.

I had so much fun playing tourist in my own city moving from adventure to adventure and dining plate to dining plate with a whole lot of laughs in between with a beautiful, down to earth group of humans. It was an action packed weekend so let’s begin…

For this fun little getaway we stayed in the heart of Brisbane’s entertainment centre at TRYP Brisbane Fortitude Valley by Wyndham Holidays. Within walking distance of the CBD and just 15 minutes from Brisbane Airport, TRYP Brisbane is right in the heart of the action, providing the perfect base for exploring Brisbane’s corporate hub and thriving cultural scene.

A mixture of boutique, striking and edgy with amazing city views, this hotel was perfect for our girls weekend away.   We were welcomed by friendly hotel staff who made sure we had everything we needed. To kick off our time there we celebrated with some drinks and nibbles in one of their stylish courtyard spaces. Did you know that the team at TRYP Brisbane can help arrange a wide range of memorable events, from product launches to wedding receptions and elegant cocktail parties. With three flexible and inspiring spaces to choose from, the hotel offers a variety of fab options for your next event! It really is the perfect hotel.

Whilst on our stay we also got to enjoy a guided hotel tour and learned so much about the beauty behind the building including how it was restored from a former gentlemen’s entertaining venue which is now stylishly renovated with a modern touch boasting works of some of the most spectacular street artists. Each level of the building has a different story to tell from a different street artist. I love how the character of the building has maintained as they’ve done their best to keep some parts of the hotel in its original form. There is definitely more to this hotel than meets the eye. Keep on reading and I have a little offer for you for this hotel at the end of the post!

To kick off our celebrations we visited the only and only Eleven Rooftop Bar just a short walk across the street from our accomodation for nibbles and drinks with a view.  Eleven Rooftop Bar is a luxe rooftop bar eleven stores high above Brisbane’s nightlife hub with 270 degree views. We enjoyed a delicious set menu of shared entrees and mains, choice of cocktails, and of course the view!  The gnocchi was amazing!

A Greek inspired breakfast at Hellenika

On the Saturday morning, just a five minute walk down the road from our hotel we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Hellenika at The Calile Hotel on trendy James Street for breakfast.  Hellenika is a glamourous Greek taverna overlooking the hotel pool, with a mix of contemporary Oz and Greek-flavoured dishes on offer.  As an avid tea drinker I took the plunge and tried the house Greek tea and fell in love. We were greeted with one of the most colourful and entertaining waiters who had us smiling with his ‘full of character’ french accent and moves! The perfect host for a girls breakfast.

While we were there, we couldn’t resist taking a few photos around the infamous Calile Hotel pool with it’s cool palm trees and cali vibes.

The Osbourne Hotel

We enjoyed a super feast lunch menu at the Osbourne Hotel thanks to compliments of Chef Ben King. I love the open space of the venue with it’s high ceilings and lots of greenery around the place. A great place for lunch and pre drinks before a night on the town, and a perfect venue to watch the next big event on the big screen.

Thanks to Bianca from Andie and Ollie Photography for some of the pics.

The YOT Club Brisbane

All aboard the YOT Club - a world first Super Yacht Entertainment Venue that has jus started setting sail in Brisbane. I will let the pictures do the talking, but what a fun afternoon dancing up and down the Brisbane river, quite literally, for a few hours. We hopped on and off at South Bank, in the heart of the city and cruised from 3 - 7pm. It was the perfect amount time to let the hair down, have some fun and relax with the girls. Oh and did I mention the dancing? We danced until our feet fell off and you still can’t wipe the smile off my face!

Check out my IGTV to see all the YOT club action here. Thanks to Lou for the sweet pics.

Mr Percival’s – Brisbane’s newest overwater bar under the Story Bridge

A short walk from the riverside boardwalk that connects Eagle Street Pier we discovered the newly developed Howard Smith Wharves precinct, nestled under the Story Bridge and made a stop at Mr Pervical’s. We enjoyed some gorgeous city views topped with a few cheeky Saturday night drinks at this very popular overwater bar. This place would be a killer spot to sip, relax and watch the sunset! I’ll definitely be coming back for a visit to enjoy those summer all-year-long vibes that our Queensland has to offer.

Pony Street Dining on Eagle Street Pier

Back on dry land, we headed to Brisbane’s Eagle Street Pier precinct to dinner and drinks at Pony Dining Brisbane – an upmarket riverside restaurant showcasing Australian produce, natural ingredients and their delicate flavours. We started with some pre-drinks on the dress circle then sat down overlooking the open kitchen to enjoy a set menu of tasty share plates, drinks and a delicious chocolate pudding dessert.

Miss Bliss Cafe

To finish off a fabulous weekend we followed our inner bliss to one of Brisbane’s healthiest cafe’s at Miss Bliss Whole Foods! Nothing like a funky little kitchen café that serves up dishes free from refined sugars and additives and uses local and organic produce wherever possible after a big girl’s weekend away! The miss bliss feast was exactly what I felt like after our busy weekend with my favourite Endless Summer Harvest Street Juice. From smoothies, acai bowls, amazing salads and fridge full of the most decadent raw treats, there is something for everyone!
